Déesse Foundation & BB Cream – Liquid, Compact and Lightweight Coverage
Not all foundations are the same. Déesse offers several ways to create an even-looking complexion: classic liquid foundation, compact make-up, Blemish Balm and a separate Serum Foundation range.
Choosing the right one is less about right or wrong and more about the texture, application method and level of coverage you prefer.
Which option suits you?
Four ways to achieve an even-looking complexion
The product names may appear complicated, but choosing becomes easier when you start with the format and finish you enjoy using.
Skin Care Foundation
The classic liquid foundation in the Déesse range. A good starting point if you enjoy applying and blending a traditional liquid base.

A portable compact formula applied with a sponge. Ideal if you prefer a refillable compact to a bottle of liquid foundation.

Buildable coverage · SPF 15Classic liquid foundation
Skin Care Foundation – the classic liquid option
If foundation means a traditional liquid base to you, this Déesse product family is a natural place to begin.
The range offers liquid foundations suited to different complexions. You can explore the currently available shades and sizes directly in the official Déesse shop.
Apply a thin layer after your usual skincare and blend it carefully. If you need extra coverage in specific areas, add a little concealer afterwards.
you prefer liquid foundation
This choice is largely about texture and application. If you like to smooth on a liquid base and blend it into the skin, start by exploring this range.
Compact & refillable
Compact Make-up and Summer Touch
If you prefer compact make-up, Déesse offers two product types with a sponge and a reusable case that accepts the appropriate refill.
Classic Compact Make-up and Summer Touch give you a choice of compact formats. See the official shop for the currently available variations.
The refills fit into their matching reusable cases, so you do not have to replace the case every time you replenish your make-up.
Blemish Balm · BB Cream
Déesse BB Cream is called Blemish Balm
Blemish Balm is the name Déesse uses for its BB Cream: a distinct complexion make-up option.
Its lightweight texture offers medium to high, buildable coverage and includes SPF 15.
Choose the shade that works best with your natural skin tone. The current range of shades is displayed in the official Déesse shop.
Other complexion options
Looking for Serum Foundation or Concealer?
Two other complexion products have their own pages so you can compare their textures, coverage and application in greater detail.
Serum Foundation
Serum Foundation is a separate liquid foundation range. Its texture, coverage, shade selection and application are explained on a dedicated page.
Discover Serum FoundationLiquid Concealer
Concealer does not necessarily replace foundation. Use it selectively where you want extra coverage for dark circles, redness or small blemishes.
Discover ConcealerChoosing a shade
A well-matched shade is key to a natural-looking result
Whatever texture you choose, your foundation shade should blend harmoniously with the skin on your face, neck and décolletage.
Rather than testing only on the back of your hand, try the shade along your jawline. This helps you judge whether it blends naturally into your neck.
Even if two products both match your skin tone, one texture may suit your preferences better: liquid, compact, BB Cream or Serum Foundation. Choose your preferred format first.
How to apply
Thin layers create a natural-looking finish
Whichever foundation you choose, skin preparation, the amount of product and careful blending all contribute to the final result.
Start with skincare
Cleanse and moisturise your skin as usual. Allow your skincare to absorb before applying make-up.
Start with a small amount
Work outwards from the centre of your face and blend the edges carefully. Add more product in thin layers if needed.
Add targeted finishing touches
Concealer can help even out selected areas. If you wish, finish with powder to help set your make-up.
Frequently asked questions
Foundation, BB Cream or Compact Make-up?
What does foundation actually mean?
Foundation is a general term for make-up products that even out the appearance of your complexion. At Déesse, this includes several liquid and compact options.
Is Blemish Balm the same as BB Cream?
Yes. Déesse uses the name Blemish Balm for its BB Cream. This product offers SPF 15, with available shades shown in the shop.
Is liquid foundation better than compact make-up?
Not necessarily. It depends on the texture and method of application you prefer, and the finish you want to achieve.
Where can I find Serum Foundation?
There is a dedicated Serum Foundation page covering its shades, texture, application and level of coverage.
Do I also need concealer?
Not necessarily. Concealer is helpful when you want to cover specific areas more precisely than you would with foundation alone.
